Steve Wolff - 2nd Candidate for East Metropolitan
Steve WolffSteve Wolff has a Doctorate in Chemistry from UWA, and has worked at universities in Canada and Amsterdam. He is currently a Councillor in the City of Belmont. |
Steve has been actively involved in the Greens since 2002, and stood as the Greens candidate for Belmont in the 2005 State Election. He has also worked as a kitchen-hand, courier, and computer programmer.
Steve is motivated by the way high oil prices and our dependence on gas have highlighted our dependence on fossil fuels, and vulnerability in the face of their shortage. He would like to see the vigorous pursuit of research into and development of secure, environmentally-friendly sources of energy.
He would like to increase efforts to empower WA’s Indigenous people, and to see better strategies applied to improve their health and education options, especially in remote communities. If elected Steve will pursue a secure, green future that everybody can enjoy.
