Scarborough - Sonja Lundie-Jenkins

Sonia Lundie-Jenkins

Sonja Lundie-Jenkins

Sonja is your Greens candidate for the State Lower House seat of Scarborough. Sonja is a 33 year-old wife and mother who has represented the Greens in both past Federal and State elections for the seats of Curtin and Churchlands. Sonja has lived in the newly formed Scarborough electorate for over 20 years and continues to reside in the wetlands suburb of Woodlands.

She is standing for the seat of Scarborough because she believes in the integrity of the Greens. The community is looking for a clear voice of opposition on major issues like coastal development and community safety. In this forthcoming State election the Greens are that voice of principled leadership.

Having successfully campaigned to reform WA’s reproductive technology laws Sonja is not afraid to take on the tough issues. She has an extensive history of involvement in environmental issues and is committed to protecting the unique and fragile ecosystems of the Scarborough environment including its urban bushland, wetlands and important coastal areas.

As a young mum Sonja understands the challenges of being a parent and what it takes to lead a family into the future. That’s why she will continue to campaign for a just and sustainable world that our children will be proud to be a part of.
