Ocean Reef - Justin Wood
Justin WoodJustin is currently completing a masters of renewable energy policy at Murdoch university, and intends to take this to a PhD from 2009. Justin became seriously concerned with the twin issues of peak oil and climate change from early 2006 and began studying them part time at the age of 30. By 31, Justin had quit a successful career in IT to pursue this full time. |
Justin is committed to strong, society-wide efforts to mitigate climate change and to build sustainable, resilient communities — with a focus on mass deployment of renewable energy — that can adapt to the inevitable changes in climate as well as weaning ourselves off oil and car dependency.
Justin is firmly convinced of the need to reorganise our society in line with sustainability principles to achieve a vibrant and enriched community. He maintains an unswerving belief in an inclusive, transformative politics that celebrates diversity, engages with all peoples, and strives for a society and economy that nurtures all Western Australians and our wonderful natural heritage.
